Job Announcement: Communication Officer

BIAS-AME is looking for a passionate and creative Communication Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in urban studies and cultural, educational fields, along with strong technical skills in digital communication tools, and have the ability to design and implement communication strategies and promotional campaigns across various online platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute communication strategies to promote BIAS-AME programs and activities.
  2. Draft, edit, and translate content between Arabic and English for various platforms.
  3. Manage social media accounts and ensure consistent engagement with audiences.
  4. Plan and execute paid and unpaid advertising campaigns, optimizing ad placements for maximum reach and engagement.
  5. Manage and update the BIAS-AME website with new content and announcements.
  6. Adapt promotional materials using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  7. Optimize audiovisual content through editing and exporting in suitable formats based on the platforms used for announcements.
  8. Prepare and send out periodic newsletters via Mailchimp.
  9. Coordinate audio and visual documentation of all events taking place.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  1. Strong interest in urban studies, arts and cultural studies, or related fields.
  2. Fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent writing and translation skills.
  3. Proficiency in Mailchimp for email marketing campaigns.
  4. Experience in website content management (WordPress or similar platforms).
  5. Ability to edit and export graphics using Illustrator and Photoshop.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a dynamic environment.
