Karam Ali holds a Master's degree in Cultural Materials Conservation, specializing in paintings conservation from the University of Melbourne (2023), and a Bachelor's degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University (2019). Karam has extensive experience in the arts and culture field, having exhibited twice in Cairo, Egypt, and collaborated with two galleries: Tahrir Cultural Centre and UBUNTU Art Gallery. Karam transitioned from the arts sector to the field of cultural conservation through an internship at the conservation laboratories of two renowned Egyptian museums: The Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil Museum and The Museum of Modern Egyptian Art.
